More than a café
The Gallery Cafe brings food, art and community into one room. Our menu travels across café classics, Italian and Continental favourites, Indian chaat, comforting mini meals, desserts and handcrafted beverages — all of it entirely vegetarian, all of it made by chefs who have been doing this a long time.
We sit alongside Kalakriti Art Gallery, which means lunch can lead into an exhibition, a coffee can begin a collaboration, and an ordinary Tuesday afternoon can turn into the conversation you remember from the week.
Every chair, table and canvas here was made by an artist.

The Gallery Cafe was built as an extension of Kalakriti Art Gallery — a room where artists, collectors, students and the merely curious could meet without the formality of a gallery floor.
So the art didn’t stay on the walls. It came into the furniture, the plates, the objects on the shelves. And nearly all of it is available to buy, with proceeds shared with the artists who made it.
Ask about anything you like the look of. Someone will know who made it.
The one thing here you can’t take home
Almost everything in this room is available to buy. The chairs, the plates, the canvases, the objects on the shelves.
The mural is the exception. It was painted onto the wall, which means it cannot be lifted off, sold, or moved to a different room. It stays here, and everyone who eats beneath it borrows it for an afternoon.
It is the largest single work in the café, and the first thing most people photograph without quite deciding to.
Small gatherings, properly hosted
Not every occasion needs a banquet hall. Some need a room where twenty-four people can actually hear each other.
We host birthdays, anniversaries, team lunches, farewells and family celebrations in a space that already has character — so you don’t have to import any. Our team will help with the seating, the menu, the cake, the beverages and the shape of the afternoon.
